What is GoHighLevel and who is it for?
GoHighLevel, now branded HighLevel and often called GHL, is an all in one marketing and CRM platform from the United States. If you're looking at GoHighLevel Australia options, the first thing to know is who it was built for: marketing agencies that set it up for their clients and often resell it under their own brand.
That shapes everything about it. One HighLevel account can run many sub-accounts, one per client business. Agencies build the funnels, forms and automations, then hand each client a login. Some Australian business owners use GoHighLevel without knowing it, because their agency's CRM is HighLevel with a different logo on it.
It also suits people who like to build. Coaches, consultants and tech-minded owners use it directly to run their own funnels, email, texts and bookings from one place.
How much does GoHighLevel cost in Australia?
GoHighLevel Australia pricing runs from about US$97 to US$497 a month for the three listed plans, as of November 2026. HighLevel publishes one price list in US dollars, so your card is charged in USD and the Australian dollar cost moves with the exchange rate. Its pricing page doesn't show GST, so check how it appears on your invoice.
| Plan | Price (USD, as of November 2026) | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | About $97 a month, or $970 a year | 3 sub-accounts, the core features, unlimited contacts, 24/7 support |
| Unlimited | About $297 a month, or $2,970 a year | Unlimited sub-accounts, rebilling of phone and email at cost, basic API access |
| Founder (formerly Agency Pro) | About $497 a month, or $4,970 a year | Everything in Unlimited, plus SaaS mode for reselling and rebilling with a markup |
| Enterprise | Custom quote | Dedicated success manager and custom development |
The plan fee isn't the whole bill. Phone numbers, calls, texts, emails and premium AI are charged on usage, also in USD. The AI Employee add-on is about US$50 or US$97 a month per sub-account, depending on the plan, and a white label mobile app is about US$497 a month. Your bank may add a foreign transaction fee on top. Each plan comes with a 14 day free trial.
If you're on GoHighLevel through an agency, you pay whatever the agency charges, which usually includes their setup and support time.
What does GoHighLevel do well?
A lot. GoHighLevel is one of the most complete marketing platforms you can buy at its price, and it's earned its following.
- Everything in one login: CRM, pipelines, websites and funnels, email and SMS campaigns, calendars, forms, surveys and review requests.
- Payments and invoicing, with Stripe, PayPal, Square and other providers.
- Voice AI that can take phone calls, on usage based charges.
- Workflows flexible enough to automate almost any follow up you can think of.
- White label and SaaS mode, so an agency can sell it as its own software.
- A big user community and plenty of ready made templates to start from.
- Value at scale: for an agency running 20 client accounts, US$297 a month is cheap per client.
If you're an agency, or an owner who enjoys building systems, it's hard to beat for the money. I'd say that to anyone who asked.
Where do Australian businesses get stuck with GoHighLevel?
Mostly in the gap between what it can do and what someone has actually set up. GoHighLevel is a toolkit, not a finished system. Somebody has to build the pipelines, write the texts, connect the forms and test the automations, then keep fixing them.
The common sticking points for GoHighLevel Australia users:
- Setup time. The learning curve is real. Many owners sign up, build half a funnel and stop.
- USD usage on top. Calls, texts and AI are billed per use in US dollars, which makes the monthly cost harder to predict.
- Australian numbers take paperwork. HighLevel's own help docs say Australian local numbers had to be linked to an approved regulatory compliance bundle by 1 July 2026, or they stop sending and receiving calls and messages.
- Spam Act compliance is on you. The tools are there, but you or your agency have to configure consent and opt-outs properly for Australian rules.
- Who owns the account. If an agency resells it to you, ask who owns the account and your data if you part ways.
None of this makes GoHighLevel a bad product. It means it suits people with the time, the skills or a good agency behind them.
When is Omega CS a better GoHighLevel alternative?
When you want the result rather than the toolkit. Omega CS is the CRM I built in Perth, mainly for trades, builders and local service businesses. It does fewer things than GoHighLevel, and it's set up to do them for you.
| Area | GoHighLevel | Omega CS |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | Agencies, coaches and DIY builders | Trades, builders and local service businesses |
| Setup | You or your agency build it | Self serve, set up for you, or run for you |
| Lead texts | Yes, configured by you | Every web form, Facebook and Instagram lead texted back in seconds from your own Australian mobile number |
| Phone calls | Voice AI can take calls, on usage | Doesn't answer calls. Texts back missed calls |
| Invoicing and payments | Yes | No |
| Funnels, websites, email campaigns | Yes | No. Works with your existing website |
| Quoting and job scheduling | Estimates and calendars, set up by you | Quoting agent drafts quotes from your prices and materials. Scheduling agent builds run sheets by location, crew and priority |
| Data location | Ask HighLevel or your agency | Hosted in Sydney |
| Pricing | From about US$97 a month plus usage | From $199 a month + GST self serve, or from $350 + GST a week run for you |
Omega CS also texts crew each evening to log time and expenses, reads receipt photos and works out the GST, scores leads cold, warm or hot, follows up quotes until the customer says yes or no, books jobs into Google Calendar, asks happy customers for Google reviews, handles Spam Act opt-outs and sends conversions back to Meta through the Conversions API. All of that comes configured, not as a blank workspace.
When should you stay on GoHighLevel?
Stay if GoHighLevel is already working for you, or if you need the things Omega CS doesn't do. Switching for the sake of it costs time you won't get back.
- You're an agency reselling it to clients. That's what it was built for.
- You need funnels, courses, memberships or email campaigns in the same tool as your CRM.
- You want invoicing and payments inside your CRM.
- You want AI to answer your phone calls. Omega CS texts back missed calls but doesn't take them.
- You enjoy building automations and have the time to look after them.
If your GoHighLevel account is set up well and someone is looking after it, keep it. The businesses that do better on Omega CS are usually the ones paying for a GoHighLevel account that nobody has finished building.
How do you switch from GoHighLevel to Omega CS?
Switching is mostly a data move and a few reconnections. Migration from old CRMs is done for you in the Omega CS setup, so you don't start with an empty pipeline.
- Export your contacts and pipeline from GoHighLevel, including open quotes and past customers.
- We map and import them into Omega CS so live leads land in the right stage.
- Reconnect your lead sources: website forms, Facebook and Instagram lead forms.
- Set your texts from your own Australian mobile number, with your prices and materials loaded for quoting.
- Run both side by side briefly, then cancel GoHighLevel once you're happy nothing is missed.
If you're on GoHighLevel through an agency, ask them for an export before you give notice. It's your data, and a good agency will hand it over without fuss.
What does Omega CS cost compared with GoHighLevel?
On GoHighLevel Australia pricing alone, the Starter plan is cheaper. Omega CS starts from $199 a month + GST in Australian dollars. The fair comparison is the total: GoHighLevel's plan plus usage plus the time or agency fees to build and run it, against Omega CS done for you.
| Omega CS plan | Price (AUD, ex GST) | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Self Serve | From $199 a month | 14 day free trial. Set it up yourself at omega-cs.com |
| Set Up For You | $2,500 setup, then from $199 a month | Built for your business, including migration, then run in house |
| Run For You | From $350 a week, $0 setup | Built and run by Source Digital with weekly numbers. Cancel any time, 30 day guarantee |
A Perth renovation builder on Omega CS reported "Over $580k in sales and $1.2M in pipeline in his first 30 days." Results vary. See the full feature list on the Omega CS page.
