Web Build Case Study. Perth Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Electrical and Security

From no website to a Perth trades site that answers a lead at 2am

Calabreeze is a Perth air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical and security contractor. Four licensed trades, the phone answered 24/7, and until this build no website, no Google Business Profile and no tracking. We built the site from live search data, matched it to the brand, and put a CRM and an AI SMS assistant behind every form.

The Client

Four licensed trades under one roof

Calabreeze runs four licensed trades under one roof: air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical and security. Fully insured, and the phone is genuinely answered 24 hours a day. Cool rooms, split and ducted systems, switchboards, CCTV.

The work was excellent. The problem was that nobody searching for it could find them.

Electrical contractor
WA licence EC 17305. Switchboards, upgrades, fault finding, new circuits.
Refrigeration and air conditioning
ARC refrigerant handling licence AU 067323. Cool rooms, splits and ducted systems.
Security
WA security licences SA SI SC 85981. CCTV and access control.
Answered 24/7
A real person on the phone at any hour. The site now says so, and the schema says it in machine-readable form.

The Challenge

No website, no profile, no tracking

No website. No Google Business Profile. No tracking. Every job came from word of mouth, and every after-hours emergency search in Perth went to a competitor.

The brief: build a digital presence that matches the quality of the work, and make sure a lead that arrives at 2am gets answered at 2am.

No website
Nothing to find, nothing to link to, nothing for Google or an AI assistant to quote.
No Google Business Profile
Invisible in the map pack, where most local trades searches are decided.
No tracking
No way to know what produced a job and what did not.
After-hours searches lost
The business answers the phone at 2am. The searches at 2am went elsewhere.

Research before design

Before writing a word, we pulled live Perth search data through Ahrefs. That research shaped the entire site map.

The standouts: "emergency electrician perth" gets 500 searches a month at a keyword difficulty of 0. "Coolroom repairs perth", 200 a month, difficulty 0. "Aircon installation perth", 700 a month. High-intent searches with weak competition, sitting there unclaimed.

Each of the site's eight pages exists because the data said it should, and each page owns one cluster.

Perth searches that shaped the site map
SearchDifficultyA month
emergency electrician perth0500
coolroom repairs perth0200
aircon installation perthlow700
Eight pages, one cluster each
Air conditioning. Cool rooms and refrigeration. Electrical. Security and CCTV. Servicing and repairs. A dedicated 24/7 emergency page. Home. Contact.

A design that looks like the brand, not a template

We built a dark ice design system straight off the Calabreeze logo: frosted-glass cards, icy borders, and a branded loading screen where the logo freezes over and thaws into the page.

Every image on the site is their actual work. We processed 66 job photos and 6 site videos from their phone camera roll into web-ready assets. Cool room builds, switchboard upgrades, a commercial drive-thru fit-out, the crew on the tools. No stock photography anywhere.

The homepage on desktop. The callback form feeds the CRM and the AI assistant.
Ice, from the logo
Frosted-glass cards and icy borders, taken from the mark they already had, not a theme.
66 photos, 6 videos
All from the crew's own phones, processed into web-ready assets.
No stock photography
Every photo is a job Calabreeze did. Every video is their site.
A loading screen that thaws
The logo freezes over, then thaws into the page. Reduced-motion users skip it.

Built for how search works now, not 2019

Google's AI Overviews and assistants like ChatGPT increasingly answer the question before anyone clicks. So every page carries full structured data: the business entity, its licences, services, FAQs, breadcrumbs, and a machine-readable 24/7 contact point.

Every page opens with a direct answer to its target search. The site ships an llms.txt file that tells AI assistants exactly what Calabreeze does and where.

One of their target keywords already triggers an AI Overview in Google. The site is structured to be a source it can cite.

Structured data on every page
Business entity, licences, services, FAQs, breadcrumbs and a 24/7 contact point, all machine-readable.
Answer first
Each page opens with the direct answer to the search it targets. The detail follows.
llms.txt
A plain-text file that tells AI assistants what Calabreeze does, where, and how to reach them.
Licences in the schema
All three licences are declared as credentials in the structured data, not just printed in the footer.

Speed to lead measured in seconds

This is the part that changes the business. Both website forms feed directly into Omega CS, our CRM platform. The moment a lead submits, five things happen.

  1. 1
    Instant confirmation
The visitor knows the enquiry landed.
  2. 2
    Contact and deal created
A contact and a pipeline deal appear in the CRM.
  3. 3
    Owner alerted by SMS
    Straight away, whatever the hour.
  4. 4
    AI assistant texts the lead
Within seconds. Trained on Calabreeze's services, licences and triage rules.
  5. 5
    Qualifies, books, escalates
Qualifies the job, books the callback, pushes genuine emergencies to the 24/7 line.

Leads go cold within the hour. Calabreeze now responds in seconds, around the clock.

Never quotes prices
Pricing is a human decision. The assistant gathers what a quote needs and hands it over.
Never gives DIY electrical advice
A hard rule. Electrical work is licensed for a reason.
Hands anything sensitive to a human
Complaints, safety concerns and anything outside its rules go to a person.
Emergencies go to the phone line
A cool room down at 2am is not a text conversation. The assistant pushes it to the 24/7 number.

Everything measured

GA4 tracks every form submission and every tap-to-call as a conversion event. Search Console was verified and the sitemap submitted on launch day.

The client sees exactly what the site produces, in numbers.

GA4 conversion events
Form submissions and tap-to-call, counted as conversions from day one.
Search Console from launch day
Verified and the sitemap submitted before the first visitor arrived.
Speed to lead, recorded
The CRM records when a lead landed and when it was answered. Nobody has to guess.
One cached stylesheet
One stylesheet for the whole site, cached, so repeat visits do not download it again.
WebP with locked dimensions
Every image carries its width and height, so nothing shifts while the page loads.
Lazy-loaded media
Images load as they are needed. Videos only load on interaction.
Server-side form handling
API credentials stay out of the browser.
Spam protection with a fallback
Honeypot spam protection, and an automatic fallback path so a lead still lands even if part of the chain is down.
Accessibility basics done properly
Reduced-motion support, keyboard focus states, semantic structure.
Early Markers

Launched September 2026

The site is new. These are the early markers, measured at launch. They will be updated as the data lands, and nothing here is a projection.

Indexed by Google within 1 day of launch
Sitemap submitted on launch day. The pages were in the index the next day.
AI assistant first reply: under 15 seconds
Measured from form submission to the first text back to the lead.
PageSpeed: 90 out of 100
On a site carrying 66 photos and 6 videos of real work.
What Changed

The work was always good. Now the people searching for it at 2am can find it, and it gets answered.

FAQ

Questions about the Calabreeze build

An eight-page website built from live Perth search data, a dark design system matched to the Calabreeze logo using 66 of their own job photos and 6 site videos, full structured data and an llms.txt file for AI search, GA4 and Search Console tracking, and a CRM on Omega CS with an AI SMS assistant that follows up every lead within seconds.

The moment a form is submitted, the visitor gets an instant confirmation, a contact and a pipeline deal are created in Omega CS, the owner gets an SMS alert, and the assistant texts the lead within seconds. It qualifies the job, books the callback, and pushes genuine emergencies straight to the 24/7 phone line. It never quotes prices, never gives DIY electrical advice, and hands anything sensitive to a human.

Because every page should exist for a reason. Live Ahrefs data for Perth showed high-intent searches with weak competition, such as emergency electrician perth at 500 searches a month and coolroom repairs perth at 200, both at a keyword difficulty of 0. Each of the eight pages owns one of those clusters. A template gives you pages nobody is searching for.

Every page carries structured data for the business entity, its licences, services, FAQs, breadcrumbs and a machine-readable 24/7 contact point. Every page opens with a direct answer to its target search, and the site ships an llms.txt file that tells AI assistants what Calabreeze does and where. That is what Google AI Overviews and assistants such as ChatGPT draw on when they answer a question. The full method is on our AEO Australia page.

Yes. The method is the same anywhere in Australia: research the local searches first, build only the pages the data supports, match the brand, and put a CRM and AI follow-up behind the forms. Source Digital is Perth-based and delivers nationally.

If your trades business runs on word of mouth and the after-hours searches go to someone else, we can build the site, the tracking and the follow-up in one go.
